Netanya resident says police failed to arrive after car break-in at train station

A Netanya resident returning from abroad says he found his vehicle, left for several days at a railway station car park, with a shattered window and signs that its interior had been searched.

According to an October 25 report by Orna News, he called Israel Police on 100. He alleges he was repeatedly told a patrol was on its way, but officers did not arrive during a wait of more than three hours.

The resident says he temporarily covered the broken window, drove home and later filed an online burglary complaint as well as a complaint to the police public complaints department.

The original report said police had not yet responded. The account of the response time is the resident’s allegation.
