Traders at Netanya’s municipal market have raised concerns about the renovation schedule, limited parking and tickets issued for double parking. They say work crews have not been visible in recent days and that a parking bay used by the contractor further restricts customer access. The traders are asking for temporary leniency in enforcement while parking remains constrained.

Netanya Municipality told Orna News that construction has not stopped and is proceeding as planned. The city said underground work was accelerated with double crews, part of the area received temporary asphalt, and installation of an artistic pergola is due to begin at the end of November. It added that parking enforcement is required to protect drivers and pedestrians and maintain public order. The claim that work stopped therefore remains the traders’ account, which the municipality disputes.
