Netanya beach season ends October 25; Sironit A lifeguards remain on duty

Netanya’s extended 2026 bathing season is coming to an end. According to the city’s official announcement, lifeguard services at the nine designated bathing beaches will continue through October 24, inclusive. From October 25, regular lifeguard stations at most beaches will close for the winter season.

The exception is Sironit A beach, lifeguard station No. 6, which operates throughout the year. During the winter season, its stated hours are daily from 8:00 a.m. until sunset.

The city announced the extension in September, adding approximately two weeks to the season due to warm weather. The end of the extension means that other beaches will no longer have their usual supervised swimming services.

Residents and visitors are reminded to enter the water only while lifeguards are on duty. Swimming without supervision is dangerous. Beachgoers should also keep a safe distance from the coastal cliffs because of the risk of rockfalls. Official notices should be consulted before visiting, as operating arrangements may change.
