Defense Minister Israel Katz, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, Knesset members Almog Cohen and Eli Dalal, and Netanya Mayor Avi Salma visited the city market on Friday, October 16.
According to 90FM, delegation members spoke with traders and residents. Cohen delivered an election-focused speech and made harsh remarks about the Jewish character of the state, including a threat of violence toward people he described as “guests.” Those remarks are the politician’s statement, not an editorial position. Ben-Gvir spoke about establishing rapid-response squads in the city, adding police officers and expanding firearms eligibility.
