Maccabi Netanya settled for a 1–1 home draw against Hapoel Jerusalem at Miriam Stadium after relinquishing an early lead, leaving the club with just two wins in its last seven matches.
Frustrated by the slow start to the campaign, part of the home crowd chanted for head coach Roni Levy to resign before the final whistle.
Addressing the criticism after the match, Levy urged supporters to back the squad: “It is part of the profession, though it is a shame when pressure is directed at the players instead of support. Personally, hearing those chants is unpleasant, but I remain focused on our work and confident that hard work will pay off as we push for the top playoff group.”
