Agam 3 residents in Netanya organize community street cleanup and call for lasting municipal action

Following months of complaints over street sanitation in Netanya’s Agam 3 neighborhood, local families organized an independent community cleanup drive. Dozens of parents and children gathered with gloves and trash bags on Friday to clear litter and dog waste along sidewalks leading to schools and kindergartens.

Speaking to 90FM Radio, neighborhood resident and organizer Asaf Blanktini emphasized that civic volunteering cannot replace regular municipal maintenance: “Neighborhood sanitation is the municipality’s responsibility. While sending a crew to clean a spot helps, there must also be proper follow-up inspection to ensure the job is thoroughly done.”

Residents are calling on the Netanya Municipality to establish a permanent maintenance schedule and stricter enforcement against pet owners who fail to clean up after their dogs along school routes.
