Maccabi Netanya has suspended midfielder Maor Levy from all team activity pending an internal disciplinary hearing. He missed Friday’s training and will be unavailable for the home match against Ironi Kiryat Shmona on Saturday, October 17, at 7:15 p.m.
The club’s official statement cited “improper conduct” without elaborating. Ynet reported that the decision followed Levy’s “like” on a post calling for coach Roni Levy to leave. The player’s account, as reported by Ynet, is that he clicked automatically without reading the post.
The club said a hearing date would be coordinated with the players’ organization early in the week.
