Apartment owners in Dora (Ramat Yadin), south Netanya, have secured revised terms for a major urban-renewal project. Following a legal dispute, the municipality withdrew its demand to cap the additional floor area in replacement homes at 12 square metres.

Under agreements with developers, owners of the 88 existing apartments are due to receive homes of at least 85 sqm or 20 sqm larger than their current units, whichever is greater. For the smallest flats, the increase may approach 40 sqm. The plan replaces 88 ageing apartments with 320 new homes.

Netanya Municipality told Ynet that the plan had been discussed in 2013, before the citywide compensation policy adopted in 2019, so the later restrictions do not apply.
