During the night leading into 25 October, a 25-year-old man was shot in or near a vehicle on Ben-Zvi Boulevard in Netanya; the vehicle was then involved in a road collision. He remained conscious and was taken to Laniado Hospital.
Initial medical assessments differed: United Hatzalah first described his condition as serious, while Magen David Adom assessed it as moderate. Netanya police detained two suspects and are examining a possible criminal motive. The investigation is ongoing, and the suspicions have not been proven in court.
Update, 25 October: following a police situation assessment, the Central District commander ordered the investigation transferred to the Sharon District serious-crime unit. The two detainees were due to be brought before Petah Tikva Magistrate’s Court for a remand-extension request. This procedural step does not establish guilt. Update source: NetanyaNet.
