The Netanya Municipality, through its City Center Directorate, has announced the commencement of a major urban renewal and infrastructure upgrade project at the historic Gan Szold (Szold Gardens) in central Netanya.

The extensive works comprise new paving, modernized energy-efficient lighting, aesthetic street furniture, and expanded urban landscaping designed to enhance pedestrian accessibility and leisure spaces. To ensure public safety during the construction phase, the pedestrian walkway linking the Independence Square pedestrian mall to the Great Synagogue will be closed for approximately five months.

Municipal officials noted that convenient and uninterrupted access to the Great Synagogue, nearby residential buildings, and local storefronts will be fully maintained via Dizengoff Street throughout the project duration.

The municipality apologizes for the temporary inconvenience and appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation. Inquiries can be directed round-the-clock to the municipal 106 hotline or to the City Center Directorate at 09-8340733.
