Published:

The Netanya Municipality has initiated comprehensive roadway improvements to replace and reinforce traffic safety barriers along Ben-Gurion Boulevard, a primary coastal transit artery. The works officially commenced on Monday, November 2, 2026.
The renewal project spans the segment between Shazar Street and Ehrlich Street, encompassing approximately 1,900 meters on both sides of the boulevard. Outdated barrier structures are being dismantled to make way for reinforced modern crash-tested systems designed to enhance driver and pedestrian safety.
Municipal engineering authorities estimate the project duration at roughly three weeks. To minimize neighborhood disturbances, all construction and heavy installations are restricted strictly to daytime operating hours.
