Residents in central Netanya are reporting an ongoing problem with rats and mice in streets, near homes and beneath parked cars. A resident interviewed by 90FM said repeated approaches to municipal bodies had not yet produced an adequate response.
The municipality said it had carried out broad pest-control work in sewer and drainage lines in recent months and is beginning another phase, including in the market area. It also pointed to subsidised treatment for private courtyards and properties through the regional municipal association. Residents should report specific hotspots to the municipal 106 service.
