The Poleg and Ir Yamim residents’ campaign has launched a fundraiser to commission an independent transport consultant’s opinion and field measurements for the proposed dedicated bus lane on Shazar Street.
The move follows a meeting with Mayor Avi Slama and Netivei Ayalon representatives. Residents say the mayor stated that a municipal surveyor would measure the road and that work would not begin before answers were provided. The campaign says it supports better public transport but objects to routing the lane through a residential neighbourhood.
